What's shakin? Just wanted to send out some love to ya'll and fill you in, clear you up, let you know what's been going on!
I am home, which is nice..sitting on my bed. Just got back from doing the NBC morning news, Ron Burgundy lives on. I am always fascinated with the weather man, in front of that big, green sheet of construction paper..pointing at random creases and parts, while ever so eloquently delivering to us the weekly forecast! Its foggy here in San Diego, but by 2 this afternoon it will have burned off, and i'm sure it will be the usual 75 degrees with not a could in the sky. SD is so predictable. Anyhow...so I've just come back from New York, which was very night...took a little walk in Central Park, had some romantic dinners, and played for a bunch of beauty editors at this Noxema launch party...it was lovely...and very girly and i'm still swooning from the romance part of the trip..which is probably why i am in great sprits..love is in the air...after all fall screams sweaters and love and cuddling on the couch to keep your toes warm.
I have been out on the road touring with Guster and Nada Surf for the last couple weeks...the shows have been great. My band is banging and we rock away most every night...we live on a steady diet of UsWeekly and Whole Foods..and text messaging and ipoding on the side. We are in this mini van which is a hoot...Cant get left ever! (Another way of saying, does anything ever go right anymore? and laughing about it) Anyhow...so just a heads up, since they have been putting us on earlier than what the tickets say:
***IF YOU ARE COMING TO ANY OF THE UPCOMING SHOWS..EXPECT THE SHOW TO START 1/2 HOUR BEFORE WHAT THE TICKET SAYS...MOST SAY 7:30 I THINK, BUT I HAVE BEEN GOING ON AT 7PM..WHY WOULD THEY DO SUCH A THING? I DONT KNOW..BUT I HAVE GOTTEN WAY TO MANY EMAILS FROM PEOPLE SAYING THEY DROVE FROM AFAR AND THEY MISSED ME, SO IM JUST LETTING YOU KNOW FOR THE LAST 5 SHOWS...TO COME EARLY!
I am really sorry to the people that came to see me and missed me...Nada Surf and Guster are rocking though! So if any consolation, hopefully you stayed and discovered some amazing new music for the ride home

The touring never stops, at the end of this year, i will have been out on the road for about 10 months...that is alot of Sudoku in the car, on the plane and backstage! I've just been asked to do 2 different tours, the Hotel Cafe Tour and the Ray Lamontagne theatre tour (which is pretty much my dream come true!) So we are working it out, they are both at the same time, so sit tight and we will have the update for you soon! I appreciate the overwhelming response of people that are excited, I am excited to see you too! I wish i could just tour and and tour and tour...Most likely, after December that will be the end of touring for me for awhile..i gotta get crackin on the next record, so you guys have something new to listen to...some time off and self bound hibernation is in store for me!
