ahh the life that would be. i got to meet the handsome handsome very handsome, yes i was drooling, trying to stay composed, orlando bloom in japan of all places. backstage at the franz ferdinand rock a thon. otherwise known as night one of fuji rock. it was absolutely marvelous. he is so handsome in person, his hair was not greasy and there was no kate bosworth in sight. she was there though i heard, it would have been great to meet her since she was in blue crush. fuji rock was an absolute trip. we left on thursday and were home by sunday. in japan for less than 48 hours. i brought a backpack which was lovely. packing light is the best. especially international travel. my flight over was one of the funniest ive ever had. finally had enough miles to upgrade to biz class..steve our flight attendant was just fab. bringing us couvasie and all sorts of treats. when we arrived, we did what you do and we went out and drank and drank lotsa of beer. im not one to party. but it was the bands first time, actually ive been partying a little more lately. what can i say, life is good and im having a ball. dont worry mom, im not doing drugs and i still haven't tried cocaine. and i dont plan on trying it ever. i like beer and wine just fine and a little sake from time to time. day 2 my head hurt, but i was so excited, i couldn't stop smiling the whole day. so excited to play and i swear my bangs make me feel like a new person. is that weird. that a haircut can do that? i feel more me, maybe cause i had them when i was little for so many years. ive been lacking them ever since i grew up.
festivals are always rad because you get to approach other bands and musicians as a musician and a fan, not just some crazy fan. orlando walked up to me singing love love love and was like i love you..oh wait that was in my dream. but he was actually very nice and the first celebrity ive ever met. as handsome in person as he is when hes saving whats her face from captn hook. hot hot hot. i also met jenny lewis from rilo kiley. she was an absolute doll, and the wolfmother guys. everyone was so very nice and i think just happy to be running into people who spoke english. i love how cute the japanese are when they talk, they are so happy, such happy people, like i said. i couldnt stop smiling
we played a rocking show and i love my band more than life itself. we have so much fun and they are so low maintenance and all about just playing the music and having fun. my manager happens to be one of the funniest people i know lately. he had everyone rolling the whole way back to tokyo. we flew home on sunday and i slept like a baby in my ambien cocoon. its been raining, which means no surfing. but thats good cause i must clean my home anyhow. i need to vacum and dust as i do not have a maid. but i enjoy cleaning so its cool. my fish says hi. and i hope all is well with everyone. oh and the g love cd comes out tomorrow so go buy it. its called lemonade and you can listen to the duet g and i do on my myspace page
